If choreography and upbeat music fit your vision for your first dance as husband and wife, then this one’s for you. Many couples opt out of the traditional first dance to make a grand entrance that engages their guests and gets things moving.

Anything goes! Is your song an upbeat rock tune, a hip hop dance tune, or an old classic? Work it in with choreography that’s both simple and engaging. The idea of the non-traditional first dance is to make it fun and memorable for you both.

Another plus for the non-traditional first dance is it doesn’t require skillful use of your feet. There’s more flexibility to be silly and just let loose with this dance. You can go with twirls, dips, old school moves or anything else that will help you enjoy the moment.

Whether you’re thinking ABBA, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Pink or James Taylor, there is room for your favorite song in your evening. With a little planning, some creativity and the help of a choreographer, you’re on your way to creating a first dance to remember.

Happy Planning!
