Every bride dreams of that perfect dress for her perfect day. Picking a dress that compliments your figure is the first step.

Pear and apple shaped brides look best in A-line dresses with V necklines that accentuate the upper body. Stiff fabrics, such as taffeta, float gracefully over hips and thighs.

A scooped or sweetheart neckline is flattering to busty brides, displaying your assets without being too revealing. Avoid straight-across necklines which tend to make your bust look more like a shelf.

Petite brides look best in trumpet and sheath styles.

Decorations should be on the bodice, drawing the eye up. Stay away from dropped waist styles that shorten your legs.  Tall brides should emphasize their natural shapes. Choose a dress with a low waist and short train. Keep it simple.

Flowing empire gowns flatter the plus-size bride. Avoid pleats and ruffles and stay with fabrics that provide structure to your dress.

The perfect dress is out there, no matter your shape or size.
