Right about now you’re probably having visions of palm trees with the sun setting over a clear ocean while you lay in a hammock with your new bride. Or perhaps you’re trekking across Europe, making sure to stop at each major landmark you’ve heard about. Whether sand and surf, exotic and historical or anywhere in between, you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for your honeymoon.

Before you go there are some things to keep in mind. First off, make sure your destination is clear for travel when you’re planning on going. No one wants to get stuck on vacation in the middle of hurricane or monsoon season. Once you’ve got the date set for your wedding and honeymoon, a shopping spree may be in order to get the right wardrobe and accessories for your trip.

The technicalities of traveling to remember include: your passports, travelers checks, credit cards, driver’s licenses, and travel itineraries. Make copies of your credit card information and passports in case they are misplaced during your travel.
